Believe it or not, Greg is HOME!!!  Last Wednesday he was released from TIRR(The Institute for Research and Rehabilitation) and sent home to continue therapy and healing.  It is a very scary change because he is still very weak and dependent on others for care, but you can not beat being home.
Greg's first reaction to being back home after 4 months of hospitals were tears of joy.   Turns out that the house is very accommodating of Greg's wheelchair.  We will have to consider remodeling the bathroom and possibly the kitchen, but it is working for the time being.

Keep in mind, that Greg's coming home is not the end of his battle.  Greg is diagnosed as a C5 quadriplegic (tetraplegic).  When he first heard the doctor refer to him as a quadriplegic, he cried.  It is a hard word to hear and we are sure it is a hard word for all of you to hear.  Unfortunately, this is where we are at.

To help out while recovering at home, Greg will have a physical therapist and occupational therapist come to the house 3 times a week to work with him.  A registered nurse will also be available to come to the house as needed.  The rest of the time Greg and I will work together on his exercises and care.

Greg wanted me to point out something to you guys to make sure you continue praying.   First of all, his lungs are still healing from the severe illness. He does not have a lot of lung capacity which makes it hard to cough, sneeze, blow his nose, workout, talk, etc.  In addition, Greg has absolutely no use of his fingers, triceps, wrists, legs and feet.  This makes even the simplest tasks almost impossible without the help of another person.  He wanted me to put this in there to make sure you guys are praying for the return of functionality in these areas and to keep him motivated and encouraged while waiting.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 : "Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
